USA Manufacturing: Acer golf weighted swing trainers are made in our shop in Platte Center near Columbus, Nebraska. All swing trainers are assembled by a veteran master club designer with 23 years of club building and swing trainer experience. Extreme care is made in the machining of all parts to ensure highest quality. Plant tours are available on request!
Design: Weight is distributed down the shaft as opposed to the club head. This provides the golfer the added overall weight to strengthen muscle tone in the backswing and downswing, but reduces pull effect on your arms of too much centrifugal force due to excessive head weight during the upswing or follow-through to your finish. This separates the Acer Swing Trainers from other Medicus PowerMaximus Driver and Momentus Power Hitter Driver swing trainers.
Swing Trainer Practice: While a very heavy weighted swing trainer feels good at first, the real strengthening of muscle tone will come from using a moderate weighted swing trainer for just a 2-3 minute workout 2-3 times a week. Most golf clubs weigh approximately one pound or 12-13 ounces. A weighted swing trainer in the 22 to 32 ounce range is the best weight for building muscle tone. We absolutely caution golfers from using a 36-40 ounce weighted swing trainer unless they have well above average strength and are very fast swingers playing with very stiff flex shafts. For most men and women the weights are better to stay in the 22 to 32 ounce range. Our standard mens and ladies swing trainers are weighted for the average golfer playing to a 10-36 handicap for 18 holes.
For Custom Fitting: The following changes typically are available at no or minimal added charge on request but may delay shipping by up to one week. Standard weighted swing trainers are shipped within two working days.
Golf Grips: Standard swing trainers are assembled with trainer grips. A customer may request a Golf Pride, Lamkin or Winn golf grip for an added charge of $4.00.
Trainer Length: Standard lengths are listed on the products pages. A change in length is available at no additional charge. However, there are some limits on adding length on the driver swing trainer. The maximum length is 47 inches.
Outdoor Trainer Weight: Standard weights are listed on the product pages. A change in weight is available for an added $10.00 charge. However, there are some limits on adding weight on all swing trainers. Weights may not be added to the Indoor Trainers due to their unique design. However, weight may be added to all three outdoor trainers.
Plant Tours By Appointment: Yes, we provide tours on request. Please contact Dave to set up a tour. A typical tour is approximately 30 minutes.
